Our Mission
The Warren County Environmental Action Team (WCEAT) is a grassroots community advocacy and engagement organization, simultaneously pursuing and promoting solutions by and for those disproportionately affected by systemic environmental injustice. We labor to ensure that visions of equity and environmental health that emerge from these communities are at the forefront of decisions regarding land use policies and environmental restoration. In this vein, as an organization, we are deeply committed to building and sustaining meaningful, locally led collaborations across a variety of entry points. The WCEAT provides spaces where community members, faith-based communities, academic institutions, government officials (state and federal), and other organizations who prioritize the environmentalism of the disenfranchised, can critically engage with one another in order to seek solutions that redress centuries of environmental and social degradation and create a pathway for more just environmental futures.
